Personal radiation protection equipment

Radiation protection goggles are designed for an ergonomic fit on the face to prevent scattered radiation penetration, and thyroid and sternum protection collars add additional levels of safety for sensitive exposed areas.
The range is complemented by customization options: various sizes (XS to 3XL or more), made-to-measure tailoring options, different apron lengths, various colors, Oeko-Tex® certified and PFC-free outer materials, which facilitate aesthetic and practical integration in clinical environments.

Technical specifications
MAVIG uses two different shielding materials to attenuate X-radiation. Each of the materials is optimally tailored to the required radiation protection at minimum weight.
NovaLite® Plus
The new radiation shielding material NovaLite® Plus has been developed as a lead-containing material with a significantly reduced weight thanks to a special production technology. At the same time, it is suitable for applications in the entire X-ray tube voltage range of 50 - 150 kV, including computed tomography (CT) applications. In addition, NovaLite® Plus is fully recyclable, contributing to environmental protection.
This material meets EU international standards 2016/425 and IEC/DIN EN 61331-1/-3, being certified for radiation protection of medical personnel.
Leadfree 2.0
New production technologies have significantly reduced the weight of our Leadfree 2.0 material. It is now one of the lightest materials on the market, is non-toxic and ideal for workplaces where protective clothing is worn for long periods of time.
In the case of Leadfree 2.0, lead has been replaced with bismuth and additional radiation absorbing additives. Of course, the stringent requirements of IEC 61331-1:2014 / DIN EN 61331-1:2016 for the determination of attenuation properties are also met with this material.
