Clinical Emergency Hospital “Prof. Dr. Dr. N. Oblu” Iași Str. Ateneului , NR. 2, Iași, is a 321-bed clinical specialty hospital, which provides high-performance neurosurgical and neurological care for patients from all counties in the eastern part of the country.

The “Prof. Dr. Nicolae Oblu” Hospital is a reference center for patients from all counties in the eastern part of the country, both for patients with cerebral vascular diseases and for those with various cranial and vertebro-medullary traumatologies. The permanent concern of this center is to improve the performance obtained in this field by diagnosing and treating patients with even greater accuracy and, implicitly, their subsequent recovery in optimal conditions.
Thus, our proposal aligned with the hospital's objectives and in 2019 we won the contract to supply and install the Leksell Gamma Knife Icon equipment by participating in the public tender, and in 2021 the project was completed and the equipment was put into use.
1. Project objective
The project consisted in delivery and installation of Leksell Gamma Knife® Icon™ equipment, and training medical staff to use it effectively.
2. Challenges and solutions implemented
Implementing an advanced system such as the Leksell Gamma Knife® Icon™ involved significant challenges, including integrating state-of-the-art technology into the hospital's existing infrastructure and ensuring compatibility with medical equipment already in use.
ICCO Medical addressed these challenges through meticulous planning, working closely with the hospital team to adapt the space, implement the necessary modifications and ensure an efficient and functional installation of the system.
