ICCO Medical provided the VivaScope 1500 confocal microscope to the Sibiu Railway General Hospital as part of a modernization project. The technology allows for cellular-level skin examination without a traditional biopsy.

Detailed imaging and integration with VivaCam®

The VivaScope 1500 uses an 830 nm laser to produce clear, grayscale images of skin layers. VivaCam® complements diagnosis with HD clinical images, facilitating a complete lesion assessment.

Specialized training and optimal use

The specialists attended training at the University of Rome. The training included both theory and interpretation of images in real clinical contexts.

Nationwide expansion

Besides CF Sibiu, similar equipment is used in Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest, Timisoara and Galati. The technology is becoming increasingly popular in Romanian dermatology.
